Reports indicate that police had arrived at the residence to execute the arrest warrant of a 26-year-old man alleged to be involved in drug and illegal weapons sales.

Routine traffic stop in California leads to drug seizure

A routine traffic stop on the afternoon of March 23 led to the discovery of a significant amount of drugs and a handgun according to a report from the Long Beach Police Department. A 30-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman have been taken into custody in connection with the seized narcotics. Media reports indicate that they are being held in Los Angeles County detention facilities, and their bail has been set at $1 million.

College student accused of using smartphone app to sell drugs

A University of California at Santa Cruz freshman has been indicted on multiple counts of drug possession with the intent to distribute. Prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California say that the 18-year-old man created a smartphone application that his fellow students could use to order drugs including marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine and ecstasy. The man was indicted on Feb. 14 and released from custody on Feb. 19. If he is found guilty on all charges, he could spend decades in prison and be fined millions of dollars.

Nicholas was detained in a hotel room at the Encore with his girlfriend, who is the ex-wife of the heir to the Wells Fargo fortune.

Two men accused of burglaries, drug crimes

Two people in California's San Diego County were arrested after allegedly committing over 30 burglaries targeting stores, offices and other commercial venues in the area. The two 34-year-old men are being held on allegations that they were involved with burglaries and drug offenses. According to San Diego County Sheriff's Department spokespeople, over $130,000 was taken in the various burglaries.

Hotel staff find drug lab in boiler room

Staff for a Goleta, California location of a major hotel chain found a hallucinogenic drug lab in the boiler room of the premises according to authorities. Staff alerted the police when they notice suspicious chemicals. The fire department was sent in to make sure the drug lab was not flammable. Guests staying near the boiler room were moved to different rooms, but the hotel was not evacuated because officials saw no immediate threat.

Rapper faces drug charges from months-old traffic stop

A California rapper is facing drug charges in Georgia after being arrested by police while visiting Atlanta for a performance. The performer, known as Ty Dolla $ign, is facing felony charges for cocaine and THC possession as well as misdemeanor possession of less than an ounce of cannabis. If convicted on all charges, the rapper could serve up to 15 years in prison. He was indicted in December 2018 despite being released without charges at the time of his initial arrest.
